Welcome to the 8th St Marylebone Beavers
Beaver Membership Update
We currently have around eight Beavers under the guidance of
Pam Eason, with additional support from Steve Gibbs and the ever
present Cliff Jordan.
Some of our older Beavers have since gone up to join our very
healthy Cub Pack.
District Sports Day
One of our eager Beavers recently participated in the District Sports
Day Event along with a number of our Cubs also.
They bravely managed a 1st Place Achievement for which they received
a well deserved Gold Medal!!!
John Wood's Music Workshop
We were lucky enough to have a Music Workshop for the Beavers
up at The Mansergh recently thanks to a chap called John Wood.
This was very well attended and enjoyed by all participants, contributing
towards the Beavers 1st Stage Music Badge.
John himself is an accomplished Tuba player and with his trumpet and
trombone playing counterparts did a grand job entertaining us all.
We hope to have more of these kind of events, workshops, guests etc.
going forward as they are always a lot of fun for all involved.
End Of Term Date
The last Beaver Meeting for this term will be on
WEDNESDAY, 14th JULY 2010.
Future Plans
We hope to have a Weekend Camp at some point during
September/October, which will be especially nice if the good weather
we have enjoyed of late holds out!!
It would be wonderful to have another Chrismas Show as we did a few
years back, but will let you all know if this materialises over the next few months.
