Fund raising and getting out into the community

Scouts are kindly allowed into Waitrose in Edgware Road to help customers with bag packing on the run up to Xmas. Their help and attitude was well appreciated by customers and staff and gives us the chance to be seen by the public. This is not just about raising funds, it encourages our young people to help others, gain confidence by engaging conversations with adults, be helpful and considerate (part of the Scout Law).

The staff loved us and gave us a drum of Quality Street which we gratefully accepted and then proceeded to share amongst the customers in true Xmas spirit.
