Getting Involved as an Adult Leader

Scouting doesn't stop at 18, it really gets going! There is a choice of direction from actively being part of the County Network Scouts and or taking on a leadership role.

Network Scouts runs from age 18 - 25 where they can still go for their Duke of Edinburgh Award Gold and the Queens Scout Award which is the highest award in scouting. The focus is on a self running unit with a leader guiding them and often even more adventurous activities are integral to the programme. Many go off to University and there is scope to continue with their Scouting whilst undertaking studies.

Scouting for adults in St John's WoodThe Scout movement would be nothing without the participation and the drive provided by adults. Get in touch, join us and start making a real difference today.

Adults wishing to get involved along with Network Scouts have to be DBS cleared, an easy process, and gives them a chance to make a positive difference to the daily lives of our Young People. Over 90% of our volunteers believe that the skills and experiences they have gained through Scouting have been of relevance to their working or personal lives, so we're certainly doing something right. A study of volunteers found that more than two thirds of respondents reported a direct correlation between their volunteer experience within Scouting and gaining employment or career development.

We will provide where necessary any learning or training much of which you can do as you get involved. Why not contact us for an informal discussion to see how be part of the biggest youth organisation in the world!
