The Scout Freezer Camp in 2017 at PACCAR in Chalfont Heights was certainly freezing, with constant snow all day on the Saturday, but that didn't mean the Diehards didn't camp in style over 10th-12th February 2017.
We camped in traditional teepees and cooked all our food over the open fire. As is becoming a Diehard tradition at Freezer Camp we cooked gourmet-style using cast-iron cookware. The menu included sweet drop bread with a fantastic sugar and cinnamon topping, whole roast leg of lamb in a dutch oven, steaming and mouth-watering beef stew, and corn fritters with maple syrup.
