Cub Scouting wouldn't be Cub Scouting without learning how to use a map and compass and so, after a month of training, the Diehards were put to the test in a very unique central London navigation adventure.
In teams of six (and with parental supervision) the Cubs were given the task of navigating from the Mansergh to Paddington Fire Station and back by foot, tube and bus. All the Cub teams planned their own routes, were responsible for team safety, and navigated successfully in this cross-London race.
Now that they have confidence with street maps, tube maps and bus maps, they are ready to throw out the Sat-Nav and take on the role of family navigator for the next family trip!
